The Definition of "Best Friend"
You’ve seen them at their worst,
You’ve seen them when they’re fine.
You’ve seen them when they smile,
You’ve seen them when they cry.
You’ve seen them trip,
You’ve seen them fall.
You’ve seen them stand straight,
You’ve been there through it all.
You’ve shared many smiles,
And many laughs, too.
You’ve made so many memories
Of just you two.
They know your heart,
They’re your “main squeeze.”
You can count on them for anything,
Because they’ll never leave.
When the world comes crashing down,
You know you’re never alone.
They’ll be walking with you through the destruction,
All the way home.
Things may get tough,
But you know just to give it time,
Because when the run is over and it’s all said and done,
There will be no doubts in your mind.
You’ll know they’re going to ride or die.
