Destruction
My love is like a building
that
Crumbles in your hand.
The broken windows and
shattered glass,
cut you just for looking.
Silent screams,
grow throughout,
make your eyes bleed.
Blinded by darkness.
There is still one room.
that has managed to stay unharmed.
A room hidden deep beneath.
I don’t like that room,
the perfectly intact room.
that’s why it’s concealed.
That’s why you can’t find it.
One day this room will decay,
because I have no way of stopping the rot.
It climbs the walls,
invades the floors.
Destroying everything.
You’re in the room.
You,
tall, sweet,
the nicest person I've ever known.
You took my hand one day,
the day I asked you to meet me.
You told me my smile was beautiful,
and looked into my eyes.
I know this room will rot.
