As soon as his father said his goodbyes and shut the door
the fun began.
Alone, without anyone to bother the two of us,
we could do whatever we pleased.
We played pool,
Sprawling on the table stupidly.
devoured all the food
Not caring about what would happen.
We stumbled out onto the ice,
Into the soft white snow that gently fell upon us,
screaming and laughing at the top of our lungs
until we finally plopped into the snow
letting our body be blanketed in white
We let our heart rate slow
our eyes shut
our bodies relax
and let our minds clear
at the cabin
