Naturally and gracefully,
The simple movement of a pen
Is an arsenal all its own.
Watch carefully as the basic
Swoosh of black ink on white paper
Unleashes a power that could topple
An army the size of the world.

During the midst of the struggle in Ukraine, I want this poem to be an homage to those writers in Ukraine (and even around the world) who chose to influence their surroundings through literature and chose to spread their opinions by picking up a pen rather than a gun or sword.
