I think the worst part about being without you, is night time.
When breathing becomes a chore,
So I can choke back the memory induced sobs.
Each one of these painful nights,
I sleep clutching the small stuffed giraffe that you gave me,
Just three short Valentine’s Days ago.
I often send you meaningless text messages,
That way you’ll know I’m still here.
I regret it every time.
You haven’t spoken to me since September.
