I Reached Into My Pocket
I reached into my pocket.
Can you guess what i have found?
That little box once full of hope,
now weighs my pant leg down.

 I promised you the world,
I gave you all I had.
Yet with one word, you broke my heart,
left me kneeling in the sand.

 I took that little box,
 tossed it in the lake.
 Promise myself
never again to make that mistake.

Now there's nothing in my pocket.
Did you guess what I had found?
