Self in 2014
What is home?
I am an explorer; I travel
The world like there is no end,
Not knowing whether I will ever
Come to a final destination.
It’s me against the world.
Every once in awhile we settle down,
Get comfortable and adjust to the new town.
Yet, some things remain the same.
Everyday I wake in the morning;
Need to get to school, alarm acts as the warning.
School. Five times a week
Learning and studying just like your ordinary geek
Hair up, head down, expectations high
Wishing that time will just fly by
Home is my own safe haven.
There is no need to act like a craven
But always remember your please and thank you.
My family is close and whole
Acting and helping each other is our goal.
So what is my home,
A place I’ll have my
Family and education. But
We always tend to move, leave to a new station
Where we start again and build a new foundation.
But when I’m asked where’s home
I tell them, “I’m not sure, I just roam.”
There are ups and downs
But I have come to realize
Home right now isn’t defined
It’s everywhere.
