To the Lady in the Empty Second-Floor Apartment

she's the sun
burning
in everything she does
leaving a forest fire in her
wake.
all her life she has wanted
to be the sea
with a moon-man pulling her
to a dangerous sort of safety
everything she touches
ignites
implodes
.
He tells her this and she
says
"kid you ain't seen nothing
yet"
