The water was clear
But her wrists were stained
Her smile said happy
But her eyes said pain
Her mask was fading
So she painted one new
But soon that would fade
Along with the old one too
As people would notice
She would just run
Back to the place
Where it all begun
As she threw down her book
And got threw that door
She ran to her room
And sat on the floor
With a razor beside her
And paper at hand
She began to write
Just what she had planned
"I'm sorry mom
It's not your fault
That this life I live
Must come to a halt
Remember to be strong
Like you always told me
Keep that chin of yours up
And the light you will see.
Dad here's a hand print
Just for you
Because when I was little
You'd ask for them too.
And my dear little sister
I'll be watching from above
To share all your glory
And send down some love.
To the rest of my family
Know I love you a lot
And all your good deeds
I have not forgot.
Don't forget to remember
The good times and fun
They don't end here
They'll never be done
Carry them with you
And I shall live on
I may not be here
But I am not gone
I just have a better view
Then what you may see
So just keep me in mind
And I'll always be me.
As I run out of room
To say my goodbyes
Just remember in your heart
Is where my soul lies."
She set down the note
Covered in tears
And grabbed the razor
But she had no fears
One cut, two cut
Three cut, four
Then her body fell
And hit the floor
Her mom heard the slam
And ran to her room
Not knowing what she would find
Behind that door of doom
With her daughter laying there
Covered in blood
She drops to the floor
And tears start to flood
She calls 911
But it's just too late
Her baby is gone
Due to the pressure of hate
As years go by
It's still a struggle
For her mom to live
Without those snuggles
Her baby so young
Only fourteen at the time
Didn't get to see
Life at its prime
To think just a smile
Or a simple hello
Could have saved her baby
From going below
But now as she visits
Her daughter at rest
She sit by the grave
In a constant distress
So next time you think
Bullying is cool
Think how the outcome
Can be so cruel
Her sister will grow up
With no form of guide
Because her mother can't function
Knowing her daughter died
Her dads now an alcoholic
And her family's a mess
All because
Their baby's at rest.
