Friend or Foe?

Some people think of me as danger,
And some see me as hope.
Most people feel me when I’m cold,
And some say am warm.
I can turn into ice,
Or into lovely showers.
I can be a flood,
Or and little puddle.
I am good and bad,
Depends on the time.
I can form little rainbows,
Or huge mud pies.
I am invisible but
You can hear me.
Whether it is the rat- tat- tat on a tin roof,
Or the pat-pat-pat on your umbrella.
I am rain,
Your foe or friend?
