A City Lit By Fireflies

A city lit by fireflies,
with thousands of sparkling stars,
people walking in and out of buildings,
‘till the dawn of the day.
Thousands of fireflies lighting up the night sky
with cries of laughter and streets shouting
A place where it’s full of life.
A dream where no bad can happen

A city lit by fireflies,
with cars speeding by on the street lights.
Memories flashing on and off in my head,
with imaginary visions of a world with nothing but the good.
A perfect world do not seize to exist.
But with millions of fireflies around me,
I would never let it go.

A city lit by fireflies,
that would never go extinct,
my dreams and hopes would never would be either,
Fireflies flying slowly with lights sparkling,
To keep them within a jar,
and keep them safe.
My fantasies would never exist but in my head,
at least I would know I can see the fireflies,
flying into the stars and may they never will come back.

This poem is about the dreams and scenarios you have late at night. You know that it will never happen, but you still hope you do.
