Ghost
I see her walk by
Transparent
All alone
Like a ghost
She wanders
In the day
Down the halls
The halls are endless
When you don’t have a friend
When you have to walk alone
Each day
No one has it in them
In high school at least
To put themselves in her shoes
You don’t know what’s in her mind
In her house, in her heart
You don’t know
About the suffering few
The ones that don’t
Know who to sit with at lunch
The ones that cry at night
The ones who just can’t seem to fit in
And ultimately
Give up their pointless plight
It’s a tragedy
That’s overlooked
But can end a life
In the end
That girl, that ghost
Walking down this loud crowded hall
That girl
She just needs a friend.
