Pieces
Pieces
We are all,
broken pieces,
of the same distorted puzzle,
bred on the belief,
that it is our predetermined destiny,
to find a place where our parts fit just right,
told over,
and over,
and over,
that it’s written in the stars,
that we’ll find somewhere to belong,
but that’s just the thing,
Stars fall,
and sometimes,
no matter how hard you try,
you just can’t will yourself to fit,
and sometimes,
even after you’ve worked,
to fill all of your little,
empty spaces,
with other people,
the picture still comes out a little fuzzy,
and sometimes,
you get lost,
and sometimes,
even if you wanted to,
you couldn’t find your way back,
to the rest of us,
because you see,
sometimes its just not that easy,
to put it all together.
