The Fish's Meal
As I open my spool,
and throw my line into the water,
the worm goes under and my bobber stays floats.
A minute passes,
then my bobber starts to move,
SPLASH! It goes under.
I jerk my pole,
tighten my drag,
and start to real.
Now withe the fish only ten yards away,
I can see the sun shining off of its back.
As it gets near the boat,
my dad grabs the net.
The net plunges into the water,
and almost as the fish knew what it was,
the fish swam into the open net.
As the net surfaced and came into the boat,
I relized it was a large mouth.
I grab my pliers,
stick my thumb in its mouth,
and pinch its bottom lip.
I grab the hook with the pliers
and take it out.
The fish had its last meal,
and now I have my meal.
