My Grandparent's Woods
As I stand here in the
soft pine needles; the scent
of the pines is filling my nose.
I remember being a young child
running through the woods on a
trail of an animal. Ever so
curious as to what the tracks
belong to. I also remember my
grandfather taking me squirrel
hunting on early fall evenings.
As I reach my current age I find
myself sitting in the woods listening to the animals about, hunting little critters, and, most importantly, showing my little brothers how to do the same thing I was taught to do.
