A Stained Heart
As I looked up at the stars
I see a face that was once so pure
Half the time I thought I was on mars
The telling of love was so obscure
I found myself buried in my sorrow
Love failed to make me happy again
No longer looked forward to tomorrow
Something I've never been able to gain
I was lost, confused, and broken
So broken, no one could pick up the pieces
It made me ever so scared to love once more
No longer able to be more broken
I am sad, not a kind of sad that just goes away
But the kind that pierces you
Leaving you gasping for breath,
With tear stained cheeks at 3 AM
