The Truth
I’ll let the panic ride and pin it on the wall
Just because we’re tempted, doesn’t mean we’ll fall
An alibi won’t justify the errors of us all
What you give is what you get, you reap what you sow
Too amused and indoctrinated to light the signal fires
A warning about the madmen, turning messiahs into liars
The face of change won’t waste away, it’s down to the wire
I’ll unplug from the system, fighting free-willed but tired
A call to arms; the common core will follow blindly along
The loners and silent ones, turn out to be the strong
Don’t deny the power of 1 can truly change your wrongs
I aim to prove you false, and bring the fame along
