The Snap

The cool air brushes against her face.
She takes a deep breath,
and slowly exhales.
Time stops as she hears the shutter beneath her fingers,
Snap!
The air isn’t as smooth as before.
The time is now racing by.
The moment is over.
But at least, she captured it.
She now has a picture to look at
during the dark hour of the night.
When the memory of that moment
Slips softly from her mind.
