The Ocean
As the waves crash on the shore,
I watch as seaweed grows from the ocean floor.
The fish are jumping in the water,
My toes turn red as the sun burns hotter.
The ocean breeze blows through my hair,
This day at the beach is beyond compare.
A cloud rolls through the sky,
And puts a shade over my eye.
I kick and splash the water around,
To discover some sea shells that is a pretty brown.
I collect them in the palm of my hand,
To decorate my castle I built with sand.
I lay on my towel to get a good tan,
With my earphones in, listening to a good band.
The ocean mist gives me a kiss,
The cool sensation is such bliss.
I love coming to the ocean,
It’s so calm with no commotion.
The ocean is a place that people come to be free,
And that is why it is my favorite place to be.
