Alone
So many girls change themselves
in those years before high school.
Some want to change
And others do not
They all want to belong.
They Change their face
They Change their hair
They Change their interests
They Change their Self.
The make up
The hair dye
The music
The boys
They change
Tell they
Are all the
Same.
But what does happen
To that rare girl who
Dose not change?
Who remains the
Same?
Doesn’t change her hair
Doesn’t change her face
Doesn’t change her interests
Doesn’t change her Self
Rejects the make up
Rejects the hair dye
Rejects the music
Rejects the boys
Bes her self
Dose not change.
The other girls stay away
From this girl
They are not mean to her
They do not look at her
They don’t try to change her.
They leave her with her
Self.
Sometimes
I wonder
Was it worth
Being my Self
To be
Alone.
