All was Perished
All was perished
All was drained
In the land of the gods.
Children weeping,
Mothers mourning,
Were we the ones to blame?
Or was it nature’s claim?
The land succumbed to the thunderheads
As the torrents run-down a hundred sheds.
The entire landscape was a play of doldrums
Miserable, crestfallen and lonesome.
Oh, there shall be that one bright day
Where all’s in merry and gay
But until then we shall learn
To sympathize with everyone
Those who lavished,
Those who desisted,
Those who braved it,
And even those who couldn’t.
May their souls rest in peace
So that all shall truly be in ease.
May the heavens restrain from raging their fury
Upon the bliss land of beauty.
