Tides Change
An old man wades
the oceans tides pulled outward toward the sea.
sounds of waves obliviate the air.
He sits there,
while time weathers away,
and wonders what will happen next.
He wonders if the tides might ever change.
He wonders if the sun might ever set,
or if it will rain anytime soon.
Slowly his thoughts disperse
and the sounds around him suffer.
Sand grains in the hour clock begin to disappear.
So he sits down,
watches the sunset,
and wonders what will happen next.
