Chained
You run to him,
happy as can be,
I stand behind,
watching you leave.
I'm alone because of you,
I thought we were a pact,
but I guess I was wrong,
because friendship is what we lack.
I've been removed and replaced,
from a position I held so dear,
I wanted to be there by your side,
what has happened is what i feared.
The time has arrived I guess,
for me to go and for him to come,
he has passed while I failed the test,
for this chapter of our story is done.
The pages of the book are flipped,
and what comes is a new page,
the page of ours has been ripped,
my soul trapped inside a cage.
I'm stuck,
unable to move,
motionless,
emotionless.
I miss us,
I miss you,
I miss the times we've had,
I miss the old you.
You and I have changed,
for better or for worse,
and our memories have been chained,
against the broken wall,
where you, me, everything, is broken, burst.
