My life is made of
LIES
my mind is made of
FORBIDDEN THOUGHTS
my personality is made of
SECRETS
my love is made of
SUPPRESSED FEELINGS
my days are made of
PRETEND EMOTIONS
my nights are made of
COMPUTER SCREENS
my dreams are made of
EMAILS AND TEXT MESSAGES
my friends are all
USERNAMES AND PASSWORDS
my happiness is made of
STRANGERS AND FORBIDDEN ATTRACTIONS
my head is full of
BETRAYAL
my future is made of
PARADES AND PRIDE
my family is made of
ACCEPTANCE
my life was made of
LIES
my happiness is made of
TRUTH
my world is made of
LOVE.

The author's comments:
This poem is about a homosexual person who is unable to come out to their friends and family and feels misunderstood and so they turn to strangers online to made friends. Eventually that turns bad and they are forced to come out only to find that everyone accepts them and they really are loved. I left this without specifying a gender because this could happen and does happen to people of all genders and ages.
