A Message in Petals
Tulips are much like people if you think about it.
Open in the day, closed at night.
Breathtaking creatures with never a repetition,
Laid in petals that tell their story.
Shutting out their inner beauty to those they feel not worthy.
Inner beauty only to be seen when the sun is surely shining.
But when the dark of night drapes over the earth,
they close themselves off from the world.
Beauty cannot be seen in the dark.
What is fawned over in the day is forgotten in the night.
They only allow their beauty to be seen,
when others can fully appreciate it.
