I love watching the stars come out one by one
Being able to on the col grass after a long walk
The smell of the dirt ,and the ashes of a fire left behind from the night before
The only sound is your breathing and the wind
I can still taste the cornbread eaten long ago
TO never be disturbed by city noises
Only you and the wide open spaces, a safe haven

The author's comments:
Every year my family and I got to Kentucky to visit family. I love being able to walk around and never hear anything I would hear in the city. When I'm there I forget the things that are bothering me. I just let my mind wonder, and think about nothing but what's around me. When I go to Kentucky I'm so happy and secure. Like nothing can hurt me. I love it there and I never want to leave. I just want to stop time forever and never leave.
