I feel at peace lying in the grass

I adore flower crowns
of brilliant dandelions

Freckles,
and rosy, red
sunburnt cheeks

Muddy barefeet

Petite girls with pigtails
pristine finger nails

And a grassy bed
to lay upon
in the extravagant eventing sun

The author's comments:
The things included in this poem are things that make me happy. It's very sentimental of the way my life was when I was a child, and how I sometimes wish it still was. Although I know that I must move on, writing about it all is a huge relief.
