Take Me Back
Take me back to the day of being care free,
All day long we would sit drinking a Capri.
Take me back to the day when we would dread going to sleep,
Nowadays we wish we could be in bed counting sheep.
Take me back to the days of arts and crafts,
Instead of making multiple rough drafts.
Take me back to the day when everyone was friends,
Too many friendships now come to an end.
Take me back to the day when make-up didn’t matter,
Instead of competing to see whose stomach is flatter.
Take me back to the day of playing outside,
And not worrying about someday being a bride.
Take me back to the day when it was fun gaining knowledge,
Instead of today’s time spent worrying about college.
Take me back to the day when life seemed much easier.
