The Burden of Sadness.

You don’t fully understand
the burden of sadness,
or the reality of depression,
until you’re looking for ways
to make yourself relapse.
Until you’re to the point where
you don’t want to get better,
you want to get worse.
The sight of your own blood
is no longer terrifying.
It's comforting.
You didn’t want people to see
because you could fix it
you didn’t want them to worry,
you were going to be fine.
But now,
you don’t want them to notice
so that you
don’t
have
to
stop.
