There comes a time when the world is lost.
It slowly dissipates back to the beginning,
Back to a simple time.
Where being in itself was the only thing that existed.
Definite

Tall buildings
the height of our occurance, crumble in a cascade of dust and ash.
Concrete roads
the network of our lives, seep into the once pure earth.
Black liquid gold
the dependance of society, returned back to its depths.
Where it belongs

Evolution in a reverse process.
A place where time wasn’t measured
A place where currency was life
everything balanced.

Would you go back?

A second chance
A clean slate
Would you be willing to rewrite history?
We all regret something we’ve done
That skeleton in the closet that just keeps tugging on you.
It won’t let you forget

But we, as people, as a whole
Can we face all our sins?
Take back the words
Take back bombs
Take back the pain
Can face that again?
Or should we repress it as we always have?
We’re not perfect.
Not by any stretch.
That’s not what I’m saying.
We have been taught to learn from our mistakes
never to do them again.
But, what do we do when it’s too late?
What if we never learned?

There isn’t a book
manual
guideline
nothing
Not even the book we live by can help us now.
We were too blind to see.
But now we do.
It’s out of our hands now
it’s inevitable.

There is only one choice we have left for ourselves
The Earth.
Accept re-generation.
Accept re-growth.
Accept renewal.
Accept death.
A process ever continued since time, and before.
Like the reigns of royalty, we rise then we fall.
We take too much, but it must be given back.
We have dared to look back in our history and we have seen the same
it’s coming.
A second chance
Not for us
Another heir to the throne
A chance for the next beings to make the same mistakes we have
Continuously.
A circle of faults
Forever

Re-generation
Re-growth
Renewal
A same beginning
yet another end
Forever

How I feel about humanity had inspired me to write about I believe happens when history repeats itself.
