Beautiful.
A creature, so dark
so full of hate
is so
beautiful.

A heart,
cold.
A heart that pulls me in.

It pursues me.
Invites me in,
but
I have not the courage to
enter.

Instead,
I dissolve in the rain,
and hide in the dark.

This is a war
I
cannot
win.

So beautiful.
So dark.
So evil.

This beast
will consume me
whole.

The author's comments:
What inspired me to write this poem is the fact that my journey through life has not been easy. My poem is simply about depression. I hope that people see depression through my eyes because it is surely a unique point of view.
