Your Smile
I love how your teeth
Are slightly yellowed
Because you can never say no
To your morning cup of coffee
I love how your mouth
Migrates to to the left
Whenever you are exceptionally happy
I love that your smile
Is lopsided when you're around me
More than when you are with
Anybody else
But lately I would not know
The color of your teeth
Because you keep your lips pressed tight
And your mouth remains
Perfectly in the center
Of your face
I cannot remember the last time
You gave me that beautiful, lopsided grin
But every now and then I can see
Your lips move slightly to left
And sometimes I can tell
That you still haven't given up
Your morning coffee habit
But I will stay by your side
Through thick and thin and everything in between
Because I know that the smile that I love
Can still be found
And find a permanent home
On the left side of your face
