Full Slate
I don’t think you ever would have
kissed me if you knew how
hellish my head is.
You might believe I’d swallow
the gun as our hands were still braided
I would never do that.
You would have, of course, politely
excused yourself from my affection
and requested yours in return.
I’m not crazy.
What would you say
if I told you my head looks
and feels
like knotted hair
I swear to god I’m not crazy.
I swear to god.
You would have dabbed at the corners
of your mouth
and your mind
wiped away the madness
pushed back your chair
and taken care of your plate.
