Heart break
The feeling as though I’m losing you slowly
Hurts more than an instant loss.
I can see the tiny cracks
That made our relationship unique
Turn into huge caverns of nothingness but separation and distance.
The love that was once fiery and intimate
Turns to this abyss of empty I love you’s and routine kissing.
Slow loss is so much more painfully stabbing to the heart.
You see it happening.
You see the slow decay.
Nothing can be done with slow heartbreak
Nothing at all.
At least with quick heart break you feel as though numb
Still in a dreamlike state the feelings of what just happened are still there.
Slow loss makes you a hollow shell
Fearing of loneliness.
Heart break is still heart break in the end
Pain is still pain
If only there was an off switch
Maybe
Just maybe some ignorant hearts would’ve been saved
In the search of the fairytale love everyone dreams of having.
