Waiting and wanting

March 15, 2014

I want something
That I don't know of
Something my soul needs
My being needs
I want to hold the world
In my palm
And etch it into my bones
Fill the emptiness somehow
I feel something burning inside me
Lighting up
And then dying out
I want to close my eyes
And fall into a coma-like trance
Wait until something happens
But I always am
I am always waiting for something
But it never comes
And I'm left waiting again
Wanting.

For this, literally just sat down and wrote what I felt. I think it's important sometimes, to be able to produce words out of feelings or emotions. That's what makes poetry interesting.
