Exist
She’s exhausted
Tired throughout every inch of her
Fatigued and nostalgic,
The girl sits on the porch
In the sweet summer air
Mid August
Sadness seeping through her skin
To her bones
Tendons
Blood
But it’s not rest she needs
Not sleep, nor calm
She needs something deeper
Something impossible
For she’s not tired of the day
She’s tired of herself
Of existing.
