Between the Lines of Sanctity
Its an unreasonable force, a guided missile through your mind
The type of thing, that can’t be stopped, can’t be negotiated, its just there.
You can’t get rid of it, but why would you want to?
Its passion and fury, its hot and its cold and everything in between.
All you have to do, is know when to use it
But how could you, something so powerful it drills into your mind
Evolving with all your other emotions fueling it, to strive, to be better
To be good, and wholesome, and neutral, and evil, and every mood at once
God knows people have tried, to achieve this, desecrated mindset
Of avoiding the inevitable, and it causes anger, and sadness, and fear.
Because deep in the back of your mind, you know, you can’t do anything to stop it.
Even if you try the only foe worthy of standing up to this warrior
Is time, and time doesn’t pick sides.
Time is a game of luck, not skill, you can’t form it to your will.
But you can fuel it, and use as much you can.
Time is power, everything else but a tool for your success
In vanquishing a foe with so much finesse
That a sword stands down, and rusts on the spot
Because it knows, it could do nothing to stop the onslaught.
