Hawaii Vacation
I remember waking up at 4:00 Am
I remember packing the bags
I remember falling asleep on my Grandmas lap
I remember coloring in a coloring book at the airport
I remember boarding my first plane
I remember the horrible taste of air-line food
I remember sitting next to my Grandpa
I remember watching Scooby-Doo on a DVD player on the plane
I remember staying up all night watching movies
I remember seeing the gossamer white clouds from our plane
I remember the sight of pink sand while i was gazing out the window from the plane
I remember the taste of fresh Pineapple at the beach on Maui
I remember the velvety sand in between my toes
I remember my mom diving and seeing sharks
I remember swimming with my cousin Danielle
I remember the sweet aroma of the ocean air
I remember the hula dancers and fire dancers dancing in the moonlight
I remember sitting with on the Forrest Gump bench
I remember eating Dots for the first time
I remember it raining every day
I remember the sound of the rain thumping on the top of our hotel
I remember the humid air
I remember the fragrance of the rainforest
I remember the “tweet tweet” sound of the birds
I remember the lovely flowers
I remember the fragrance of the candied, beautiful, flowers
I remember the couch I slept on
I remember the restaurant where we ate lobster
I remember the smell of the nectarous
air
I remember losing my favorite shoes
I remember the beautiful dress I wore
I remember my family’s wedding where I was the flower girl
And I remember looking over the bluff and down at the sea below me
And thinking what a beautiful place
