December Wind
When December wind whispers, the angels sing
Of the coming birth of our risen king
Falling snow from the sky turns to tears on mothers’ cheeks
Because the father cannot find the child whom he seeks
When December wind whispers, the angels weep
Because the sin of humankind is dark and deep
When December wind whispers, the angels descend
To retrieve the sleeping children, whom the world has sent
They wake each child, take their hands, and lead them one by one
To a place where love reigns, because the battle is already won
When December wind whispers, the angels ascend
The children smile, they know they leave the pain and suffering behind
For they go now to a place God designed, a place where joys shall never end.
December wind whispers
