The Dumb Blond
My hair is gold silk,
A bright,
blinding,
blond.
When I walk by strangers,
they whisper,
“There’s no brain just air,
That girl with blond hair.”

I’m an amazing book,
with a dull worn out cover.
People glance at me,
then walk by.
Never to be read,
never given a try.
People always assume,
I’m just a fool.
But they’re wrong.
Every,
Last,
One!
My intelligence is enormous,
superior than your head!
All you have is boulders,
your brain,
is just,
dead!
“She’s lucky,
she’s stunning.”
People snicker behind,
my back.
Shortly after the jerks say,
“She’ll never,
amount to,
anything.
Never, no way.”

Well I’ll prove them wrong.
I’ll show them one day.
The blond they think is dim,
will be their ruler,
That serves,
her every,
whim.

The author's comments:
The stereotypes, about blonds being dumb people, inspired me to wright this poem. Like an amazing book, but with a dull cover, people tend to walk past them, and never read them. With a boring, uninteresting, and stupid book with a new bright pretty cover, will get the most reads over people. Blonds are thought to be unintelligent due to their color of hair, when in real life there are plenty of brilliant minds that are blond, and some dim mined burnets. This poem is to open the minds of others, and to kill off the typical stereotype about dumb blonds.
