Sunflower
I am a sunflower
Short and bright
With a cheerful smile.
I have great amounts of pedals,
rip them all,
and I’ll blow up.
I love the warm sun beating down
of mid- July summer days,
to relax and enjoy.
I dance and sway,
with not a care in the world.
It’s my garden so
Don’t judge how I sway.
I’m not a normal sunflower,
my leaves show my hardships and flaws,
but with the help of my home roots
I made back out alive.
My friends in the flower garden,
there is nothing like them.
They won’t leave you alone
in a storm.
You may not have ever seen me,
but you know my name
and my existence,
From my loud, clear, echoing voice.
I am a bright sunflower with down sides to,
I have many flaws just like you,
I’m far from perfect,
but I’ll shine through.
