Driftwood
I am not broken.
I am warped
like the wood I collect on the gray, empty beach.
Gnarled
Rough
Petrified
I am not broken
Because to be broken is to once have been whole
I am warped
I disintegrate with each breath, with each look.
Pieces of me scatter like the gritty sand I track through
I am not broken
because I can never be fixed
