History repeats itself
How many more kids have to be petrified when they walk in the doors of high school?
I stand here today and tell you we need to do more to stop this because bullying ain't cool.
How many teams have to go home at night and cry themselves to sleep while they contemplate suicide or even harming somebody else.
It's common knowledge the end result is inevitable because history always repeats itself.
So don't just stand there and turn a blind eye to what's going on.
Don't act like there is nothing wrong because there is definitely something wrong with a society that thinks that there is nothing wrong.
And like Banksy said "I see humans but no humanity" that's because we hide behind a vanity called popularity.
"Oh I won't be cool if I stand up to him."
But you'll be cool to me in the hero to the kid that daily has to face him.
How many more teens have to go home at night and cry themselves to sleep while they contemplate suicide or even harming somebody else.
It is common knowledge that the end result is inevitable because history always repeats itself.
And I will repeat that line as many times as I have to just to make sure that I get it through to you because it is not a black-and-white issue.
And to the victims, you have a friend in me.
And I will not judge because is not my place.
Nor will I hold a grudge or make fun of the scar you hold your heart or the one on your face.
How many more teens have to go home at night and cry themselves to sleep while they contemplate suicide or even harming somebody else.
It is common knowledge that the end result is inevitable because history always repeats itself.
I will repeat that line one last time.
Open your ears and listen as I try to hold back the tears in my eyes begin to glisten.
Hang on to every last word I say as if it is the last word that I will ever say.
How many more teens have to go home at night and cry themselves to sleep while they contemplate suicide or even harming somebody else.
It is common knowledge that the end result is inevitable because history always repeats itself
I want you to remember that line the very next time you see a child getting bullied.
Because like Biggie Smalls said "you can't change the world unless you change yourself."
And that starts now.
Right here, right now, I beg you for the kids who can't speak for themselves, please change yourself.
