The Life of A Penny

Hated, loved but the most lost thing on earth
It's worked for
It's died for
It works you 'til your sore
We don't know why we do it
But it's what we all live for
We throw in containers
To save for a rainy day
But when it comes down to it
it's never there come May
It's lost and its stolen
No matter what the cause
We all just want a penny
And only a penny
Is what we got.
