People are like books, we all have spines and stories to tell.

Light warms your heavy bones
It lifts the weights off your limbs
It takes the burdens off your shoulders
Making you forget you are Atlas
It lets you see so much more

The dew drops on a spiders web become crystal on thin string
The dust motes in the air seem to make it dance
Stained glass leaves beams of colors onto the ground before them

All from light these things come and go
Like shooting stars blinking across the sky
All lightening your burden
Making you forget you once held the world

Let suns eat you up and let stars burn before you
Forcing you to forget every bad thing that has happened

You are not worth the world
Not worth ten thousand worlds
Let Chaos not let you hold them anymore
Let Chaos know that you are worth more
That you are priceless and should bear no weight so heavy

No burden except to love
To love and be loved by me you were made
To love and be surrounded by the light

So Atlas, bear down the world and join me
Join me and let me take you away

Away from a burden you were forced to carry
Away from a strain that cripples your back
That cripples your arms and legs

Let me take you away from a place that only serves to hurt you

Let me do everything you ask
Let me do anything you need
Let my love fill every hole your burden has bore down onto you
Let my love caress your every sore and ache and make you well again

Release upon me your troubles
So I no longer have to see all it has wreaked upon you

Rest now, dear Atlas
Rest your weary arms
Rest your aching back
In a bed you have known once
In a bed that is mine too

Do not worry about me
Do not worry about the burden I have taken
For I can carry anything you need
I can do everything you need
For the light encompasses all, and I am all light

The sky was not so much a burden to you as the world
I took that from you too
I would take a galaxy
I would take a universe from your shoulders

All the heavens do not deserve your touch
Your touch is much too precious, too gentle, too strong
Nothing is worth that, dear Atlas

The suns and stars and heavens
All bear light down upon what you have done
All shine light on your strength
Your perseverance is encompassed by light
Is encompassed by me and my love

Atlas, dear Atlas, bear down your burden
Bear down this strain you have bore so long
A hardship you should have never had known
I will bear it for you so you may rest
So you may sleep away the centuries and millennia

You stood and held all creation for too long
It is time to pass it on
To doze and dream of me, of light, of love
It is time to rest, dear Atlas
Sleep well, and let the light cover you
Let me blanket you in warmth, in worship, in wonder

Be at peace now, dear Atlas
Your shoulders bear no more

I must be a mermaid. I have no fear of depths and a great fear of shallow living.
