The Train wreck
She was a girl with heart break sown into her hands-
He was a boy with dead beat stamped across his forehead-
and together they spelled out train wreck.
But the first time he touched her, the whole world lit up.
The heart break stitches came loose-
The dead beat ink faded.
For a moment, they forgot what they where-
as the whole world simmered and sparked around them
In the midst of the flames, it was easy to pretend they where fixed.
But she was still the girl with heart break sown into her hands-
and he was still the boy with dead beat stamped across his forehead-
and together, they still spelled out train wreck.
So when the moment was over and the flames died down-
they found themselves standing knee deep in debris.
The ink of dead beat was fresh and wet between his eyes-
and he left her standing alone on the train tracks.
The heart break stitches tightened between her fingers.
