Endless Days
The sun is bright today, like newborn kids,
It beams with joy all day, it does not stop.
Reports to no one, doing as it bids,
The children still play as the sun starts to drop.
It sinks into the ground like people die,
The kids don’t know, the sun’s demise is near.
The sun must give its final goodbye,
It sets and dies with one last breath right here.
An evil force is on the prowl tonight.
The moon has come for feasts of children now,
They cannot stop the moon’s one horrid bite.
But moon has set and sun is back and bow,
That things all have to die at one time,
So sun and moon can only turn on dimes.
