The Peaceful Beach
Whipping winds blow my hair
through the bright blue air.
Hearing the “scratch scratch” of the shining sand
as I rub it from my hands.
Little seashells that have washed upon the shore
that everyone adores.
There are colorful umbrellas that stand as high as newly bloomed spring flowers
shade me from the shimmering sun’s rays.
Tasting the oceans salty air
and smelling the ocean that is ever so calm and fair.
Seagulls are flying free,
and the perfect sunset to see.
But as the colorful umbrellas fall
and the luminous light of the moon is the only light at all,
I have to wave goodbye to all the perfect things
and await to see what tomorrow brings.
