paradoxical perpetuality
how would it feel to be eternal
to last everlong, to live ever bright
how would it feel to be blessed with immortality
and have your radiant light shine on for eternity
would it be ethereal and sweet?
would each moment be cherished in blissful reverie
would it be ragmatically frenzied, tumultuous and rushed?
to live with all the time in the world but in the end just not enough..
would it get dreary and lonesome and sad, to perpetuate a life you’ve already had?
how would you feel if this blessing became a curse, and you were sentenced to remain forever on this earth.
would you fight it, try to fly? knowing that this immortality was a lie
outside you still burn bright
but time burns out your inner light
all efforts gone, to further perpetuate the ruse.
the excessive life has taken away your muse
one lifetime is an eternity, and that’s all that you really need
as after that the celestiality of life is gone, and you’re left with just the shell.
and so a paradox is born: the ethereal perpetuality.
