Find your rest
How do you live,
Knowing each breath
could be your last?
How do you live
Knowing each breath
Could be the last?
For all we can do
Is hold on,
Hold on with all our might.
For all we can do
Is let go,
Let go and watch it fade.
How do we live
Knowing the sun will set,
And may never rise again?
How do you live
Knowing there’s no hope,
No hope for you?
How do you pick up
the shattered pieces
knowing life is at its end?
There’s still a light
For you and I,
Shining beyond the clouds.
So I can rest,
Knowing the sun will set,
And may never rise again.
I can rest
As the faces and cities,
Blur and fade.
I can rest
While I put more miles
Between the beginning and I.
I can rest as birds fly,
High and low,
Flowers blooming as the years fly by.
For I know,
There’s a brighter day,
Just around the corner.
There’s so much pain
Outside my own,
In this petty world.
That’s how I get up,
Every morning,
Ready to face the dawn.
For I know there’s a world out there,
I know there’s peace outside the restless,
Hope inside the storm.
It’s how I live,
Knowing each breath
Could be my last.
That this day will end,
That the sun will set,
And may never rise again.
